A Lecture by Father Kevin Culligan

Father Kevin Culligan, O.C.D., is a psychologist and writer. As a Carmelite friar for sixty years, Father has served our order in various capacities in education, formation, and administration. He is a charter member of both the Institute of Carmelite Studies and the Carmelite Forum. He has lectured and offered seminars and retreats on Carmelite themes both in this country and abroad. Fr. Kevin is currently a member of the community of Discalced Carmelite friars in Holy Hill, Wisconsin and is in the process of writing a new book on Carmelite spirituality.

This lecture traces St. John’s development as poet, mystic, and spiritual writer. First-time readers of John of the Cross will find helpful hints to begin reading his writings.
